Everyday Ritual

Supplies you’ll need:
Offering of Food, Offering of Drink, A candle, matches or lighter

Sit quietly.
Take a moment to contemplate all the blessings you have in your life.
On (say the date) I light this candle (light candle) in gratitude. I honor the Lord and Lady and thank them for the blessings and prosperity they have brought to me. Thank you.

Eat some of the food, drink some of the drink. (Be sure to save the last bits as a sacrifice)
Sit and meditate for a few moments.
Snuff the candle.
Pour the sacrifice outside or in a potted plant.

As you go about your day, be sure to keep negative thoughts at bay and try to mentally tally all the wonderful things that have come into your life.

  1. I really enjoy your blog.

The great thing about this everyday ritual is that it can be modified to suit different people with different religious beliefs. It is a wonderful way to deliberately count your blessings and incorporate a little quiet time into your life.

I'm looking forward to more soon!

    Fiona :)

  2. Thanks Fiona and you are very correct. This little daily rite can be used by people of all religious beliefs - just change "Lord & Lady" to suit whatever beliefs you have - "God", Divine, The Source. The important thing is giving thanks for the blessings in your life.
