In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
I picked this movie because the previews rocked.
What I liked the Most? The coming of age pathway
What I liked the Least? The romance triangle – it left a lot to be desired for me
Review: This was like ET meets Stand By Me and I loved it. I enjoyed the walk through the past. There was a lot of humor and a lot of action, but the romance just kinda wrecks it for me. If it was just a little bit of a crush I could have handled it better. This was a really good return to Spielberg’s original movies.
I will say that the ending could have used a little work, because it just felt like hurry up and end.
