Movie: Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast

Director: Steve Loter

Actors: Ginnifer Goodwin, Mae Whitman, Rosario Dawson

MPAA rating: G

Running time: 76 minutes

Fun and talented animal fairy Fawn believes you can't judge a book by its cover, or an animal by its fangs, so she befriends a huge and mysterious creature known as the NeverBeast. While Tinkerbell and her friends aren't so sure about this scary addition to Pixie Hollow, the elite Scout Fairies set out to capture the monster before he destroys their home. Fawn must trust her heart and take a leap of faith if she hopes to rally the girls to save the NeverBeast.

I picked this movie because It's a Tinkerbell movie - DUH!!!

What I liked the Most? This one was about Fawn

What I liked the Least? I'm not into spoilers so I won't tell you

Review: Okay, first let's address the fact that calling this a Tinkerbell movie is a bit of a stretch cause Tink is a supporting cast member and it was all Fawn! And while some cynical adults would be a bit irritated with her tendency to chatter on and on (Bunny kept telling her to shut up, like she could hear him lol). I think she is grand - chatty & happy & oh so loving. Hmmm, perhaps too loving and easy going. Considering that Pixies have a major issue with hawks trying to chase & eat them. So what does Fawn do, she finds an injured baby hawk and secretly nurses it back to health and then it wreaks havoc across Pixie Hollow. And this led to a collision course with the fairy Scout police and most especially the very impatient scout leader Nyx.

So Fawn promises to be good, but that promise is challenged, when she chances upon the Neverbeast. I loved the throw back to the lion and the mouse fable of my youth FYI. At first, the NeverBeast just seems like a grumpy old walaby, but it turns out that the he holds the very fate of Pixie Hollow in its paws. And the pieces that we have seen are not looking so good. Nyx has found something that makes it look like that sweet old baby is going to destroy everything that the fairies hold dear.
