Today's Adventure

So since the day is dreary and rainy we decided that a movie
marathon was the way to go!

Bunny picked HT2 because he is in love with Mavis

He said he was gonna take my phone away!

So any ways it seems like EVERYONE in town decided to
go to the movies today, so instead
of doing movies 2 & 3 we packed it up
and headed home.

Only to find out that Stoney Point Trail of Terror is gonna be open tonight!!!
Oh yeah, haunting season is ON!!

This picture makes me so very very happy.
We were waiting in line for the trail.

Then Bunny found the Diva Blast and got her (and the dancers)
to take a picture with ME!!!
He has come a long way in the past couple of years.

My very favorite part of Stoney Point is the Drag Show while waiting
for your turn in the trail.

Painting Pottery

Yeah why did I think this would work

Painting Pottery

My Bunny took me out to paint some pottery pieces!

This is my Bunny painting a gnome!

I painted a bunny!

This was truly a magnificent little day and I truly needed it.

**UPDATE**

Got the finished babies back & they look amazing!!!!!!!!

Bonefish Grill

Okay, so BF knows me really well & tonight he asked out on a date. Then he did the surprising thing, he offered up a place to go. He is usually like where do you want to go, and never EVER makes a suggestion. Tonight he is hey, let's try Bonefish Grill (not something I would suggest with him cause he HATES seafood), it's something different & you said you wanted crab cakes.

To start off - I am abso amazed by the way this place looks. It is simply stellar, like for Fayetteville, the look is like a 8.5. Now, I know this is a chain restaurant, but it is like high class for our not so little town. I loved the wait staff uniforms, a real class touch.

To start out with they bring you fresh bread & dipping oil (didn't get a picture of that before BF dug in) and the menu is extensive but leans very heavy towards seafood. We did locate one appetizer that was beef based so we decided to split an order of Ginger Beef Dumplings and they were beyond anything I've had before (and I'm not just saying that).

My only complaint, salads were not included with the meal, but I just had to have the strawberry spinach salad (I'm addicted) and I loved the take on cheese - it is breaded and fried, so when you break open one of these delectable little balls you get gooey cheese. Mmmm, yummy!

My dinner was Maryland Crab Cakes with potatoes au gratin & whatever that stuff in the upper left corner is (I didn't like it), the crab cakes were perfect - just a little on the spicy side and fried to perfection, full of big chunky pieces of crab meat. Yum!

As previously stated BF doesn't eat seafood, so he decided on the Kobe Burger with home made chips. According to him, it is the best hamburger he's ever eaten.

We don't usually get dessert, but both of us were dying to try the strawberry short cake and it was heaven!!!!

All in all - I definitely recommend this restaurant and TBH can't wait to go back!

Dangerous Date

Okay, so not really a dangerous date, but it could have been,
considering how mad I have been lately. But BF was right.
Blowing holes in things helped with some of the anger.

So we did our "usual" went to the range & rented the .38 BodyGuard for me
(I freaking love this gun)

This is my BF looking oh so professional while he is shooting.

And this is him doing a one knee approach :)

And I want to go on record that I out shot BF again.
Yay Me!!

Joe's Crab Shack

Okay, so yes it was my sissy's birthday, but with all the other hoopla going on, she didn't want to go out tonight (Family dinner night is tomorrow night) but I decided I have to get crabs. No not *THAT* kind lol. The kind you eat, with garlic butter, and potatoes. Yum!! We set out kinda late, and when we got there they were jamming!!! Guess that's what I get for going out on Tax Refund weekend :) Anywho, Bunny doesn't usually have a problem hanging at the bar while waiting for a table, so that is what we did.

I told the bartender to surprise me with a drink - just sitting up same basic boundaries: tequila or rum, you pick. What I got was a superly superly sweet tie dye drink. It was good, but OMG was it sweet. Sweet enough to give you a cavity.

So then BF saw this dude pick up a Shark Bite from the bar & he asked for a shark. Had to snap a pic & send it to LM with the note OMG James caught a shark too!

Finally got a table (almost an hour later) but it's all good cause we were having fun at the bar. I ordered appies & got the crab & spinach dip platter cause BF don't eat NO SEAFOOD. Yeah I know why are we at Joe's then right, cause I LOVE it, that's why. FYI, if you have a Power Card from one of the local schools, the appetizer is free so why not splurge a bit.

Then the main course shows up and it is HEAVENLY! I'm never had a problem with the food here.

All in all it was a date that I would repeat, but next time I'm staying at the bar. Our waitress was a bit of a spazz and TOOK forever to come back to our table with anything. I just really don't appreciate having my appies & main show at the same time, especially when the Manager shows up and basically says that she put the order in backwards.

Fun Ways to Ask for a Date

Kidnap a personal item (like a teddy bear or basketball shoes) and leave a ransom note made from cut up newspapers & magazines saying: "Your [whatever] has been kidnapped. If you ever wish to see it again, go to [dance/date] with me or leave $2,500,000.00 in small bills [in a designated area]."

Write your message with each word of the message on a separate piece of paper. Put each piece inside a balloon, and leave the balloons for your potential date with the message "your invited to a popping good time. Pop all the balloons for the details."

Send a formal invitation. Include a reply card for him/her to send back saying whether or not he/she can go. Make sure there is enough time before the event for the reply card to be returned (the formal invitation can be made using the computer).

For a special occasion, try a treasure hunt--complete with clues hidden in the apartment building, around campus, or inside his/her apartment

An Artisan's Date

Get a set of body paints, or create your own using products around the house like chocolate syrup, cherry filling, etc. Lay out a large sheet, one that is okay to get stained, on the floor. Spend the evening painting each other! Follow up with a steamy shower to rinse each other off. Gift ideas include: chocolate syrup and a paintbrush (for next time!), more body paints, a sensual poetry book, love coupons good for a sensual act, or a couple's board game.

Sexy Splurge

Take a few classes or read up on the art of Tantric massage. Start the occasion with an hour-long massage, followed by a round of romantic game play with games like Romantic Rendezvous or SexPlay. Gift ideas include: Kama Sutra gift set, massage oils, gift certificate for a professional massage or a romantic board game.

Room By Room Date

Take advantage of the space you have! Create a meal to be eaten in each room, or create a romantic activity to happen in each room. Even better -- do both! Gift ideas include: a gift that coordinates with each room.

A Gourmet's Valentine

Whether you or your partner is the gourmet, you'll both enjoy this idea! Plan and create a 5 course love meal followed by an evening of wine and relaxation, or a romantic movie. If you're not great at cooking, but love good food, find a 5-star restaurant nearby and order the food to go. Gift ideas include: gift certificate to a 5-star restaurant, subscription to Gourmet or Bon Appettit magazines, or a gift basket of delectible treats.

Romantic Movie Night

Rent all of your favorite romantic movies. Set up an airbed on your living room floor with a comforter and pillows. Stock up on your favorite munchies, while you cuddle together during your love-a-thon. Gift ideas include: tickets to the movies, a video rental gift certificate, romantic videos, a soundtrack from a favorite movie, a video of you, a gift basket of munchies, or your love story written in screenplay format.

Pamper Me

Pamper your lover with the ultimate in romance! The ideal setting for this idea is an ultra-clean bathroom and bedroom with a TV and VCR. If you don't feel like cleaning, or have time to create the ambiance, splurge and book a hotel for the night. Start by lighting as many tea light candles in your bathroom as possible. Also, burn some incense and have some background mood music playing. If you don't have a place to rest things in your bathroom, bring in a chair. On it, place a fluffy washcloth, a plate of chocolates and strawberries, and a glass of champagne. (Make sure it's within the reach of your sweetheart.) Then get a warm bubble bath ready. Once your partner is in the bath, give them a foot massage while you wash their feet to relax them. Next, wash and condition their hair. When they are ready to get out, dry them off, give them something comfy to wear and send them off to the bedroom. Once there, brush out your partner's hair and give them a shoulder massage. After that, cuddle up on the bed and watch a romantic movie you've picked out. Gift ideas include: bath robe, sexy pajamas, bubble bath, trip to a day spa or a gift certificate for a professional massage.

His And Her's Valentine

Start the occasion by wearing your "his and her's pajamas" (one wears the top, the other wears the bottoms). Then watch his movie, followed by her's. Grab take out from his favorite place and her's. Decide to get his and her gifts as well. Gift ideas include: his and her's towels, his and her's watches, champagne and glasses, his and her's pajamas, etc.

Honeymoon Valentine

Give your love the honeymoon you have both always wanted! Arrange to stay at a hotel in an exotic location, or recreate it in your own bedroom! Gift ideas include: a ticket to a romantic destination, marriage proposal, an item from country you're recreating, or a gift basket with food or snacks from the same country.

Shifting Roles

Throughout the course of a successful marriage or long-term commitment, the two people in the relationship may shift in and out of various roles. For example, one person in the couple may support the other person going back to school. In order to do this, he or she steps into a supporting role, setting aside certain goals or aspirations in order to provide a stable base from which his or her partner can launch in a new direction. There are many gifts of learning inherent in this role—from having the opportunity to embody a nurturing stance to feeling the pleasure of seeing a loved one thrive. When our partner expands his or her horizons, ours expand, too, and we gain access to a world that would otherwise remain closed to us.

However, there is also much to be said for having a turn to be the one stepping outside the box, perhaps taking time to attend to our personal healing, spiritual pursuits, or other interests. In order to maintain balance within our relationships, it's important that we address these issues each time one person steps into a supporting role so the other can try something new. When we are conscious about acknowledging that one person is bearing a bit more of a burden so that the other can grow, we stand a better chance of making sure the ebb and flow in the relationship remains fair and equal.

The most important part of this process is open communication in which each person has a chance to express how they feel and come to an understanding about the roles they have agreed to play and when they expect them to shift. Each time a dynamic shift occurs, a ceremony of acknowledgment can lend an air of distinction to the moment. This can be a simple dinner date or an elaborate ritual, depending upon what works best for us at the time. Perhaps the most important thing is expressing gratitude to the person in the supporting role and encouragement to the person moving in a new direction. When the flow of feeling and communication is open, a healthy closeness develops that allows each person in the relationship to have a turn at each of these important roles.

Being Alone

The most important relationship we have in our lives is with our selves. And even though we are the only ones who are present at every moment of our lives—from birth onward—this relationship can be the most difficult one to cultivate. This may be because society places such emphasis on the importance of being in a romantic partnership, even teaching us to set aside our own needs for the needs of another. Until we know ourselves, however, we cannot possibly choose the right relationship to support our mutual growth toward our highest potential. By allowing ourselves to be comfortable with being alone, we can become the people with whom we want to have a relationship.

Perhaps at no other time in history has it been possible for people to survive, and even thrive, while living alone. We can now support ourselves financially, socially, and emotionally without needing a spouse for survival in any of these realms. With this freedom, we can pursue our own interests and create fulfilling partnerships with friends, business partners, creative cohorts, and neighbors. Once we’ve satisfied our needs and created our support system, a mate then becomes someone with whom we can share the bounty of all we’ve created and the beauty we’ve discovered within ourselves.

As we move away from tradition and fall into more natural cycles of being in the world today, we may find that there are times where being alone nourishes us and other periods in which a partnership is best for our growth. We may need to learn to create spaces to be alone within relationships. When we can shift our expectations of our relationships with ourselves and others to opportunities for discovery, we open ourselves to forge new paths and encounter uncharted territory. Being willing to know and love ourselves, and to find what truly makes us feel deeply and strongly, gives us the advantage of being able to attract and choose the right people with whom to share ourselves, whether those relationships fall into recognizable roles or not. Choosing to enjoy being alone allows us to fully explore our most important relationship—the one with our true selves.
