Chocolate Style Spa Day

Chocolate Coffee Body Scrub

There are tons of recipes on line,
but I use 1 cup coffee grounds and 1/2 cup coconut oil
and because today is chocolate day
I added 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

Chocolate Honey Face & Body Mask

I made mine with a 1/2 cup coconut oil, 1/2 cup honey and
a couple teaspoons cocoa powder.

Hot Chocolate Bath

Oh my, this is my new favorite bath soak
1 cup powdered milk, 1 cup epsom salt, and 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Banana Hair Mask

Okay, so I didn't want to use chocolate on my hair
so I mashed up 2 over ripe bananas, added 2 tablespoons of honey & olive oil

Poison Red Hair

Okay so about 2 weeks ago I was bopping around YouTube, just having a grand
old time checking out some of the ever growing drama over that way.

I ended up looking for reviews for New Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick
and stumbled upon this one by Kristen Leanne!

So now for those of you that have autoplay turned on - you are aware that you'll
just go from one vid to the next without having to do anything at all!
The next vid up in the que was this one

And I was all like OMG - I gotta try that!

So I headed on over to the Arctic Fox website and located the red hair dye,
(one of these days I'm totally gonna do pink & blue watch me on that).
It's $13.99 for 8fl oz of hair dye and if you get just 1 bottle shipping is $3.
(I paid for this product myself - using money I earned at my J.O.B.)
Well considering I've been on the hunt for a brilliant lasting red I decided to give poison a go.
(there was also a coupon code on one of the vids which I used but it's not good anymore - sad face)

Now kick back & wait for the product to come in.
Shipping took a little over a week, 8 days total, and I am not bothered by that at all!!

(update ordered on 1-27 & package arrived 2-3 - that is hella good "general" shipping)

The packaging is soooo effing cute!
I love the colorful Arctic Fox logo sealing sticker.
It just adds that touch of class.
But I hated cutting the sticker to get the product out of the package, but I did.
Included in the box: very sturdy plastic bottle of dye, a thank you card, and the packing slip.
I must say the Thank You card & sharing instructions are amazing.

So I had to wait a while before I could dye my hair.
Well okay I didn't have to wait, but the Depression Monster kept me from wanting to.
Finally got around to using it tonight (2-10)!

So right off the bat, the smell - it's kinda floral but not overwhelming so.
Website says stray skin dye comes off easy
that is why it's along the front of the hairline I gotta test it out.

Just sitting around chilling relaxing & letting the hair go red!
Bottle says to let the hair soak up the dye for 30 minutes,
but since this not a "process type" hair dye you can let it set for a longer period of time.

Just sitting around chilling relaxing & letting the hair go red!

Kind of cool - I thought the towel looked a little art vanguard.
I want to make it perfectly clear - the dye showing up on this towel is almost straight product.
I wasn't thinking when I decided to do my hair tonight and it was fucking COLD.
So I wrapped an additional towel around my head while letting the dye stain the hair.

The end result as of right now 2-10-17 @ 8:33am.

I plan on updating this post at least once a week until the color fades out
so I know how long to wait in between dye jobs.

My Year - Past, Present, and Future

2016

What was amazing in 2016?  In 2016 - I realized that I had the true mind of an artist and I showed it to the world in the many art projects I worked on, the fence mural that I pained, the purse I did, the prosthetics I made for the Zombie Walk. I walked my own path and while not ecstatic where I landed, I am at peace with it.

What did you do in 2016 that you’re proud of? Stood up for myself with my parents.

What do you learn/discover that you want to bring into 2017? I discovered that it's okay to be a list making Virgo google queen. And I will wear that badge with honor.

What do you want to leave behind in 2016? Headaches & malcontents

What are you most grateful for about 2016? That it is over.

How did your dreams grow in 2016? I don't think I did such a good job growing my dreams this year. Perhaps I'll do better in 2017.

What did you do to help your dreams grow in 2016? I don't know how to answer this question. I talked - a lot.

Is there anything you need to do to complete your year? Any unfinished business that you’d like to finish, and leave behind as you move into 2016? I would really like to have it out with a few ex friends & family. I would like to rip them a new one and let them know how much the ghosting & abandonment hurt.

2017

What is your Big Dream for 2017? To make each day a magical filled day, to continue my journey with a happier heart and even bigger dreams.

Why do you want this? Because I have to have magic in my life

How will you feel when you have it? The biggest reason I want this in my life is because of joy. I want to feel joy again.

Do you already know how to make this dream real, or is this something you need to learn more about first? Reality baby

What’s your plan for giving this dream what it needs to thrive in 2017?

To be present in the moment
To see the little things
To smile more
To get out and make new friends
To set aside little time
To practice submission

10 Questions for 2017

1. What's one thing you could do this year to increase your enjoyment/growth?

I think the one thing that I need to focus on this year is self. I always say that self means the most to anyone because that is where everything else starts, but every year I fail at treating myself like a good person. I am mean & nasty to me all the time and that needs to stop.

2. What's the most humanly impossible thing you will do this year?

Loose weight - I am determined that while I am happy being a curvy female, I am not happy with my overall health AND that needs to stop, now.

3. What's the single most important thing you could do to improve the quality of your family life this year?

Let it go - I am such a family girl that it is really hard for me to remember to take the time out to take care of me. I let my guilt get in the way CONSTANTLY. I think if I was happier, then my interactions with family would be happier and thus improved.

4. In which spiritual discipline do you most want to make progress this year, and what will you do about it?

This year I will celebrate all the Sabbaths and Esbaths, even if I am celebrating alone.

5. What is the single biggest time-waster in your life, and what will you do about it this year?

Depression sleep and I am going to do my very best to eat healthy & exercise & take care of myself so that pit doesn't attack as often.

6. What is the most helpful new way you could strengthen your tribe?

Continue my solitude for another year. I am not in the correct mindset to join/find a physical tribe right now.

7. What circle work are you most looking forward to this year?

Moon circles

8. What are the most important ways you will be making this year different from last year?

  • Incorporating little time into my schedule
  • Adding to my BuJo
  • Naming & silencing my inner critic

9. What one thing could you do to improve your spiritual life this year?

I need to revisit mini rituals

10. What single thing that you plan to do this year will matter most in 10 years?

Lose weight

Hitting the Do Over Button (but not really)

I don't know many (if any) people who aren't of the mindset that 2016 was the most horrible year to date in their lives. Now I don't mean that there weren't other years that were horrible, nor do I mean that this past year overshadows some truly horrific events, but it just seems like 2016 tried to take out as many good and happy things as it could.

You know - the news montage from 2016 has been like the start of some really mucked up movie about how the world ended:

  • Oregon militia crazies took over but were begging people for snacks
  • Donald Trump for President
  • Record breaking snow storms in the northeast that stranded a fuck ton of people on the freaking roads/Record breaking cold snaps across the rest of the world
  • David Bowie dies
  • Alan Rickman too
  • Black Lives Matter/Blue Lives Matter/All Lives Matter - but the shootings just don't stop
  • Prince dies
  • Zika
  • Random shootings
  • Clowns - WTF - Clowns!!!!!
  • North Korea launching rockets
  • Passenger trains colliding in Germany
  • Ohio state slaughtered Harembee
  • Lightworkers suck
  • More random shootings
  • Black Lives Matter/Blue Lives Matter/All Lives Matter - but the shootings never stop
  • Donald Trump wins election
  • The world looses its shit
  • Gene Wilder & Leonard Cohen die
So what should we do?

Just give up, crawl into a hole and let the world continue to spin without us? While I admit there have been a multitude of times this year I have begged

But that isn't really an option now is it? So as someone who loves to live in the happy bubble that I have created for myself, I've decided to take the week between Christmas and New Years to hit the restart button, so that I can go into 2017 with a bit more peace of mind.

  • Monday - I am going to be acknowledging *ALL* of the past year, all of the things that have led me to the here & now. I will be writing them in my journal
    • the lessons I've learned (never read the comments),
    • the blessings (a good nap),
    • the pain (all the hurt and anger),
    • the friends I've said goodbye to (both the real life friends and the entertainers)
  • Tuesday - will be a day of release. And by release I mean I'm starting a huge ass bonfire and I am dumping each and every burden into it. This way I can acknowledge each item and feel that pain lift from me. To do this, I will be writing on individual strips of paper anything that has hurt me this year, then I will say it out loud and then discard it into the fire while saying "You have no power over me". As each slip burns away the written letters & paper that binds it, it burns away in me as well. Get rid of it, don't hold it for fuel for your fire, just burn it away now. Let IT GO!!!
    • Comparison especially in my art
    • Anger over the missed vacation
    • Coughing
  • Wednesday - will be a day of cleaning, it's time to lighten your load - physically, mentally and spiritually. When I say throw it out, you could always donate it or give it away, but what ever you do - get it out of your life TODAY!!!
    • If it’s broken - throw it out
    • If it doesn’t work - throw it out
    • If it is missing parts - throw it out
    • If you don’t use it - throw it out
    • If it’s unfinished - throw it out
  • Thursday - will be my day of gratitude. A day to thank the Universe for all it has provided. A day to celebrate the good. I will leave offerings out today, and very likely dance to the noon day sun as a way of showing gratitude because we were given the David Bowies & Robin Williams & glitter & sparkles & coffee!
    • Dance
    • Sing
    • Celebrate
    • Leave offerings to the Universe
  • Friday - today is the day to declare who I want to be in 2017 and what I will be manifesting in my life. Sit down with yourself & your journal and claim the pieces of who you want to be!
    • Meditate
    • Envision the changes you want to make
    • Announce it.
    • Write it down.
    • Own it.
    • Create a mental imprint of your future
  • Saturday - It's time to take a step in the right direction!
    • Create a wall hanging using my word of the year for 2017!
    • Make a list of positive actionable steps to achieve my goals
    • Create a mantra for my daily life

My Day

Okay, so I've been sick - like stay in bed, taking meds, off work per doctor's orders, coughing up a storm sick, but today I had to reenter the world at large.

I woke up at 6am, got dressed and hit the grocery store to pick up food for the week. Spent roughly an hour and $100 to get restocked. My normal clerk ran the groceries & helped me out. Loaded everything into the car and headed home.

Unloaded the cold groceries and took them out to the lean to. Went back and got the rest of the groceries, took them inside, put everything away.

Started Greek Chicken in the crock pot.

Took my antibiotic.

Went back to bed.

Strengthen Your Will

To strengthen your will, stand at the bottom of a steep hill.

Call upon the energy of the Earth, reaching deep into her center and feeling her energy flowing up through your feet and throughout your body. Take three deep breaths, and begin to climb.

When you arrive at the top of the hill, turn slowly clockwise three times and look at the view, as you offer thanks to the mother, to the universe, and to the power within yourself for you discipline and will in reaching the top. Breathe deeply, reflecting on what you have accomplished and what you will now be able to accomplish.

Feel the energy of earth beneath you, close your eyes, tun slowly clockwise three times, and look down at the ground. Find a small token from the mother to take with you as a reminder of what you have learned about yourself.

Zombie Walk Madness

Ok, so Fayetteville has these fourth friday events
and in the month of October that means

ZOMBIE WALK!!!

So freaking exciting, right?
Well every year we are home for this event I kill my Bunny and bring him back as a zombie!
And this year was abso no different.

So I have to give myself a few props & snaps this year
I was able to create my very own prosthetic for the scars on the Bunny's face.

But this year I got to dead out a few other people too!

The Bunny & I ended up downtown ahead of the rest of the gang cause we be impatient like that.
aka we didn't want to wait any more!

So on our way from the parking deck to the main street we got waylaid at a tattoo joint
because the proprietor's nephew wanted a pic of him in all his glory.

Then we finally made it around to my favorite place to take pictures of him.
Every year - I kill him, bring him back as a zombie, and then throw him in jail - lol.
It's like tradition with us.

Doesn't he just look abso demonically dead?

I adore the fact that our little town has these amazingly freakish festivals.
And I love it even more that my Bunny is all down to go play downtown!

This is just a small sample of the turn out!

Some people go all out on their costumes (evi Bunny wants to be one of those next year)

So my masterpiece (the Bunny) was selected for the first round of the costume contest
the judge that picked him said it was uber creative!
I mean come on, I'm not a make up artist by no means, but evidently I did a good job.
Unfortunately, he didn't make it into the next round
but hey, 1st round is pretty dang good.

I thought it would be pretty funny to get a shot of him under the big tires of a jeep,
so I had him go ask the guys hanging about if they minded
and since they didn't I got him in the position I wanted.
Before I could even snap off a pic - there were about 20 people taking his picture.

After Guy saw the response, he decided to get in on the action!
Grabbed an ax and proceed to ham for the camera!

Loads more pictures were taken.

I'm pretty sure that Bunny's picture was taken more last night than ever before,
but he seemed to be enjoying himself.

My phone died so I don't really have any more pictures.

Hurricane Matthew

Well - I was on track with posting and what not - until Hurricane Matthew knocked us for a loop. Now don't get me wrong, I am extremely grateful that we had minimal damage around our house and that the power was only out for a few days. But OMG - what a storm.

Okay, so as you probably know - Hurricane Matthew was all set to come up the coast line and then head back out to sea, according to the Weather Channel. And since it wasn't coming relatively any where near us, we figured we were safe.

It was drizzly and yucky out on Friday, so we skipped the Haunted House in favor of watching some of the movies on our Halloween Watch List and getting a pizza. We went to bed late Friday night, early Saturday morning with rain already making a presence and no matter what the meteorological data would tell you, it was banded rain from the hurricane, because it was literally coming in waves. But all the data says that we weren't in for anything really bad until possibly Sunday morning.

So when we woke Saturday morning, we didn't think much of the light rain that was going on. I asked the Bunny to run to the grocery store to pick up a few things, that we needed for the weekend and he did. So no big deal, right?

When he got home, we settled in to watch another couple of movies off our watch list. Not really preparing in any way for matthewageddon. We watched Transylvania 6-5000 & Jeff Dunham's Minding the Monsters.

And that's when I realized the storm was getting worse. We decided that we needed to gather up a few things before anything else happened. So we went running out to the shed and grabbed up some of our camping gear, namely the stuff to make tea & coffee and cook gear, but also our lanterns.

We got back to the Magic Lamp, a little damp, but happy to have everything in order and ready for the night ahead - no matter what happened. Then Bunny got a hair up his butt and said he was gonna go secure the trees behind us.

After about 30-45 minutes, the Bunny comes inside and says that's done. I chained up the 3 trees at the back, tied off the 1 on the corner and propped up the one at the corner. As he was telling me what he did, we heard a creak and then a thump, so we ran outside to see what had happened.

The tree at the corner of our lot had kind of tipped over onto the Magic Lamp. If he hadn't of tied it up, it would have come down with a big badda boom and squashed us! But due to his quick thinking and forethought, it just kinda leaned all the way over! The rope he secured it with, supported most of the weight!

So between Bunny, Daddy-O, and myself - we got the leaning tree of disaster off the Lamp and because it did punch a hole in the roof, got a tarp secured down real good with some 5-50 cord. After taking care of tree removal, Bunny & I went back in the Magic Lamp. Then the power crashed off. Badda Blink - you are now in the dark!!!

But we have camping gear, yes we do - so I fired up the gas stove, made hot tea & coffee to warm us up and started cooking dinner (potato soup don't you know - so not 21 Day Fix, but abso perfect for a cold wet dreary night) I was able to feed the Daddy-O, Grandma (hey ya'll she's 106!), Bunny & myself.

So now there's nothing to do, but wait and see what the rest of the night brings! I read by lantern light for awhile, but ultimately decided sleep was probably for the best and crashed out around 9:30-10.

Woke up bright and early Sunday morning to no power and tons of storm damage. These are the trees that kinda slumped over from the weight of the wind and the saturation of the ground. All 4 of these trees are going to have to come out of the ground now - such a bummer cause they are the only shade we have!!!!!!

This is the whopper of a tree that actually fell on the Lamp. We drug it off during the storm. On Sunday we totally cut it all up.

The bad part about it - they are ALL chaneyberry (or chinaberry) trees, so we can't do anything with them but send them out for compost. *sad face* Would be nice if we could chop them up for the fire pit, but according to the research I've been able to do - they are poisonous and should not even be burned outside.

Power is still out! Will update more when I can!

Storm Damage

So Fayetteville had one hell of a storm today!
High winds and a fuck ton of rain.
While out at our house the majority of the damage was minimal.

We did lose a shade tree over the patio.
I'm not that worried about it, cause I really wanna build one of those
fairy houses out of a tree stump,
now I have one.

My sexy BF after coming back in from looking at storm damage.

But Downtown Fayetteville was hit pretty hard.

This is one of the roads to festival park
you've totally seen pics of this area before, just not with all
the water!

Just one of the many areas that are completely under water!

This is the little park that I've shown you before.

This is actually the parking lot we park in when we head to any of the festivals!

This is the area we stop to "Take a Selfie" before heading up
to the events.

Usually the water is between 5-6 feet below the bridge.

How would you describe your gender/sexuality?

My gender is female, but not the pink & feminine kind. Well not always. Well not in most of the usual ways. I love my boobs & my yoni & my curves.

My sexuality is up for debate - lol. I am a bisexual, switch but currently in a monogamous hetero relationship where I am a happy submissive.

Could you live as a hermit?

Considering that this is a debate I have with myself  almost daily - the answer is yes.

I often dream about moving into a little cottage in the middle of nowhere, I would get my groceries delivered and left on the doorstep so that I would not even have to speak with the delivery man. My life would be dedicated to books and music and art and witchcraft and sleeping and most of all - not talking.

There are nights leading into days that I get so tired of speaking that I just want to say no more and curl into a ball with no way to communicate with the outside world.

And while I do dream of that little cottage in the middle of the woods, I think I would like to maintain internet connections because that would be the easiest way to shop and read and find new music and if needed, communicate to the outside world.

The best thing about me

is my positivity and willingness to overlook the hurt of the past for the potential future. I know that my light shines out of my cracks and illuminates the world for every one to see.

How often would you want to see your family every year?

Today's answer would be never. Tomorrow's answer may be the same, or it may be every Sunday night for a chicken dinner, or it might just be daily.

It really does depend on how I am feeling mentally on any given day.

List the top five things you spend the most time doing, in order.

  1. Sleeping - it is truly one of my most favoritist activities - it's like being dead without the commitment.
  2. Working - while not sexy or hot, work pays the bills and in a timely fashion too.
  3. Surfing - well the net anyway - I am addicted to the power of the written word and often spend hours just perusing it online.
  4. Cooking/Eating - this is a combo package cause well you can't really do one without the other
  5. Day dreaming - self explanatory ya know

Do you love easily?

I give my heart away almost daily, much to my chagrin.

I fall in love each and every single day - it might by my Bunny today, tomorrow my MoonBeam, next week the swashbuckling Killian Jones from Once Upon a Time, last month it was with myself.

I give my whole heart to the ones I care about, leaving me vulnerable, but I don't know how to live any other way.

So yes, in the platonic sense I love very easily, I flirt unconsciously too and I’m not against friends with benefits either (though I have none).
