Nobody

Here's the process:

Open Dylusions Journal to a blank page
Randomly stick down some plain old masking tape to create the white streaks :)
Spray with Dylusions spray inks in London Blue & Calypso Teal
Wipe up the damp spray
Pull up the tape
Lay down a swirly stencil on the white streaks
Spray with Heidi Swapp in Tinsel
Cut out funky phrase & adhere it
Using a Studio G Marker in Silver make the scalloped rings
Final touch, using the same swirly stencil to add the border with black craft paint.

Ok, so here's the deal - I just started art journalling back in late February
ago & I got all into (still am - not going any where).
I joined a bunch of art groups on FaceBook,
picked up some "lessons" from around the net,
and jumped - both feet into the deep end.

With in the fist week - I had posted about 8-10 pictures in the
groups and got no response - zero, zip, nadda.
Not a like, not a comment, not a hey new girl, quit posting pictures my 2 year old could do better.
Zero, Zip, Nadda, Nothing.

Now my friends & family hit like & commented on my
personal page, but nothing from the art community.

So here's where I'm at - I'm posting this for me.
What ever pages I do will go up on my blog for my enjoyment.
They may go up on my FaceBook page.
Hell - I might even post them to the groups, but I'll
be damned if my art is going to be.

So when Kerli posted this meme - I snagged it & journaled it just for me!

  1. I love this page! We ALL should be doing our art for ourselves but we forget that. With instant gratification technology, we don't always acknowledge the effort that so many put into their work. Keep on going!
