The Perfect Sugar Scrub

The cream in this mixture gives it the richest texture while the sugar gently exfoliates dead skin to expose fresher skin underneath. The balance of ingredients produces a scrub that is oily enough to moisturize, yet will not separate out much.

Do not use The Perfect Sugar Scrub on broken or delicate skin. It's best on elbows, heels, knees but if you scrub gently, you can use it on most of your body and your hands to soften them. Avoid use on tender areas like face, neck and breasts.

Yield: 1 Full Body Application

Ingredients:

4 ounces white or brown sugar (depending on the color you'd like your scrub to be)
3 tablespoons sweet almond oil
2 tablespoons liquid whipping cream
30 drops pink grapefruit essential oil
20 drops lemon essential oil
3 drops patchouli essential oil
2 drops rose absolute
2 drops ylang ylang essential oil
1 drop cinammon leaf essential oil
Blending Procedure:

Measure the sugar into a bowl and set aside. You can use brown sugar, but you'll only get a pretty yellow color from the essential oils if you use white sugar.

Measure the cream and oil into a bowl and stir well to combine. Make sure the cream is fully dispersed into the oil so you get a smooth mixture.

Pour the smooth cream/oil mixture into the sugar and stir well to combine. Add the essential oils last and stir again. Store in the refrigerator in an air tight container (preferably glass). Look at the expiration date on the panel of the cream carton to determine approximate shelf life
