What I liked the Most? The love that this book is full of

What I liked the Least? Honestly, nothing.

Review: OMG, the central theme of this just simply tore me up. I have fertility issues and so I know what Nat is going through. The agonizing wait for that stupid test strip to change colors and either lift you up or devastate you. I have been so devastated, and seeing Nat go through it, just broke my heart. But the love that shines through the whole community.

And OMG - the dream gift idea that the triplets set in motion. I so want to do this next year!

Warning: You need a box of tissue on hand - there will be tears!

Yes these books are mostly light reads but they are extremely powerful. The love, friendship, and open door policy of the characters make you wish these were your friends and family. I love stories that tug at my heart. This book definitely delivers!!

Recommended to: Everyone, but you really need to read the series :)

What I liked the Most? The ending!!!!! (And I'm not spoiling here)

What I liked the Least? Nothing really - it all worked

Review: OMG thank you thank you thank you - Lizard has been my all time favorite character out of all of the combined witches (well minus Averyn but he is a whole different kettle of fish) and I loved spending an entire book with the rebel poet. Her love of words touches my heart in ways that none of the other witches do.

I abso adore Debora Geary's writing - especially her ability to evoke emotions. These characters are friends and I love to visit. My BF seems to find it hilarous that I am often sniffling over a scene or totally LOL. I often have to stop and explain the outbursts to him.

Yes these books are light reads but they are extremely powerful. The love, friendship, and open door policy of the characters make you wish these were your friends and family. I love stories that tug at my heart. This book definitely delivers!!

Review: OMG - it was so wonderful to come home to this wonderful family series. It warms my heart to check in with them, truly it does, but this book struck a major chord with me. If you’ve read any of my previous reviews of Geary’s books, you know it is the sense of community and love that I most enjoy in the books.

What I liked the Least? I'm not a fan of Marcus (maybe now I'll enjoy him more)

Review: Return to the lovely Fisher's Cove in Nova Scotia, by way of a traveling musician Cassidy. For 11 months of the year, she listens to her manager and plays all over the world (as long as she gets to play a dive) and for the other month she goes were the music soothes her soul and she can rejuvenate, not to mention listen to the rocks. As with every book it seems the magic is pulling for multiple reasons. Look forward to finding love & peace within the pages of this story.

What keeps me eagerly waiting for each book in the series (not to mention rereading them obsessively) is not just the well crafted characters, but feeling that I'm being sucked into the warmth of family that exudes from every page. It's not just the witchy side, but the true generosity and openness that all the characters share.

If I didn't already know that magic is all around us, these books would certainly open me to that possiblity.

Recommended to: Fans of the series, but really this shouldn't be a starting point. Every one of these books is not only a joy to read, but they teach wonderful life lessons in a world full of positive, supporting characters that are truly well written.

What I liked the Most? Shay growing up

What I liked the Least? While I can't say any one thing bothered me or I liked the least - there are some sections that were uncomfortable to read.

Review: I always have to read Debora's books twice - once just to enjoy the familiar connections & characters and then a second time to actually review the book. I read this series because I adore the love that is front and center. I need that in my life. I can honestly say that this series gives me reason to hope & reconnect to my family (both blood & chosen). I always come out of the story seeking a healthier life.

In this story, we are reintroduced to Beth. The leader of Witchery's Coven, you remember that one. Yeah Lauren & Jamie went to a meeting and Jamie shook everyone up. Yeah, the one that they basically ran out of the meeting because it was shaping up to be an explosion, because his tact was on vacation. Yep - that one. Well we get to see a bit from Covenside and we get properly introduced to Beth. Seems she has been dreaming of magic since he left and may indeed be ready to seek it out, but there is a twist. Beth is an Aspie, high functioning Asperger's to be exact. Debora handled her creation perfectly, the intristic thought patterns & inability to communicate properly. Read the book, I don't wanna give any thing away.

Word of warning - if you invest yourself in the characters of a book, have a box of tissues at hand while reading this book, because I cried a bucket of tears. So much so that my boyfriend thought someone had upset me, and in trying to tell him what was wrong I just cried even more.


Recommended to: I recommend this series to EVERYONE!

What I liked the Most? You have to read the book to understand, but the story really touched me

What I liked the Least? Its too short (my all time complaint when it comes to this series - it's like a visit with friends over too quickly).

Review: Going back in time, gave the reader a chance to get to know Nell without the mother attached and that is a valuable lesson. It shows how she has the knowledge and the heart to seriously let her kids grow up to be their own individuals without stepping on them too hard, because at one time she was that child (yes I know this story was written about adult Nell, but if you can't get a sense of the child she was then your imagination is sorely lacking).

And Daniel, oh Daniel. You rock man! I love that without a stitch of power he can overcome so many obstacles because he is the supreme hunter. It makes him sexy and dangerous and oh so desirable.

If you haven't read this series yet - go get it!!!

I love this series because there is always such a wonderful sense of family, friendship and love, but this book takes us back to the beginning and shows how Daniel & Nell get together (thus producing the triple cuties & the witch of the century).

Recommended to: This is a great starter book for the series for anyone who wants to read it. I personally recommend it to everyone!!!

Now on the review - this is short story to give us a glimpse into the lives of this quirky family. I love the way that everyone was included into such a sweet moment. This is really a book to read! It gives you the total package in ceremony that will bring happy tears to your eyes.

What I liked the Most? the baby care plan

What I liked the Least? pretty soon something drastic is gonna have to happen, these powers are getting a little out of control

Review: Points in favor of this book – I loved the Morgan/Marcus dynamic, I wanna bake cookies, I pick up my knitting again, I spend a little more time outside petting my flowers (the ones BF lets me touch anyways), and I reconnect to myself for a bit. But there was something “off” about this installment, at least as far as I could tell and no it wasn’t the tear factor, I had a lot of those with Reckless Witch.

Now keep in mind, these are my thoughts & opinions only.

• I feel cheated out of watching Lauren & Devin’s relationship develop.
  
• The powers are converging a little too rapidly and it’s overshadowing the growth of the characters (and this series is character driven)
  
• The flow felt choppy.

Recommended to: If you haven’t tried the Modern Witch series yet, you are seriously missing out. The series would make the perfect summer reading list, so what are you waiting for? Best Quote: “A daddy is just a fancy name for a momma with ear hair.”

What I liked the Least? They read entirely too fast


Review: First off I must say that my reviews of these books must get a little repetitive because I love them so much. They are the perfect antidote for a sick day. If you have not picked up this serious yet, do yourself a favor & look it up, trust me – you will be well rewarded.

Lizard is starting to emerge from her self imposed street kid persona – but she doesn’t loose that fire and spark that makes her so uniquely lovable. Elsie has totally removed the stick and found that life is truly better when you can simply let go. And I love the fact that not only the “newbie” witches have lessons to learn.

I enjoyed this visit with old friends and simply can not wait for the next installment.

What I liked the Most? Lizard and her words are back!!!

What I liked the Least? Little less on the stomach issues since I read it while sick lol

Review: Deborah Geary is an amazing writer & grows so much with each and every single book. She has created a place that I love to escape too, I have the books on my Kindle & the Kindle app on my phone and every spare moment (and some when I should be sleeping) was spent reading this book (and the others in the series). I laughed, I cried, I cheered – and woke up my BF in the process lol.

Elsie & Lizard (with Nat, Jennie, and Lauren’s help) are back center stage, ready to take the next step in their journey. Lizard is taking her vocabulary back to school in a big way & Elsie is learning to play. I loved the growth that both young women undertook and felt that they are developing in a lovely fashion – 2 steps forward, 3 backward – just like everyone else on the planet lol.

There have been very few worlds that suck me in as thoroughly as this one Anne McCaffrey’s PERN, Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar, and JD Robb’s Futuristic NY to name them. I find myself caring so much about the characters that it’s like visiting an old friend.

I would like to know exactly what’s in the green gunk, not that I plan on getting a hang over anytime soon. And on a personal note – this series has gotten me knitting & I love it!!!

Recommended to: EVERYONE but especially Fans of Witchy Fiction

What I liked the Most? Sierra is the perfect childish adult

What I liked the Least? The way everyone jumps on the fear band wagon – hell haven’t “witches” been fighting fear for centuries

Review: OMG – I am totally in love with this series now. Sierra just put me right over the top (even if I was hoping to see Lizard show up). This book made me laugh (I love Aevryn’s interest in Harry Potter – it made me LOL), it made me cry (Sierra’s journey was a truly painful one), and it made me fall in love. Devin makes me believe that someone is always there to watch out for the unexpected.

The only problem with this book is that it makes me yearn for a witchling my own and a community as open as this one.

Debora is a truly wonderful bard, with a spectacular story to tell, I can’t wait for the next installment!

Review: I just finished up the second installment of this wonderful series & I must say I am sooooo happy with this series! I love the new power flow & the way everything ends up working.

I had a bit more trouble following this book than I did the others (guess I love those American Witches a little too much) but in the end I started enjoying it a lot. I really enjoy following a group of people that I consider new friends. I love the fact that this story of hopes, dreams, friendships (new and old), love and community in the most unusual way.

Recommended to: Fans of Witchy Fiction

What I liked the Most? The style of writing – it flows so wonderfully

What I liked the Least? That everyone seemed to push Lauren around a bit

Review: Debora Geary has proven to be my favorite new find in 2011 & I’m sucking down any of her works that I can find. This book brought home that she is a quirky writer with a wonderful sense of fun. I loved that it wasn’t the typical romance in that the trainer/trainee fall in love, but that the precog was set off by a non-witch.

I fell head over heels with the adorable Aervyn, he simply made the book for me. I did miss the WitchLight aspect, but loved loved loved the family. This is total brain candy that will make you happy, make you smile & truly make you laugh. What more could you ask from such a bewitching series.

What I liked the Most? Absolutely everything

What I liked the Least? Nothing really

Review:Holy Freaking Cow – I am soooo happy that I went on Amazon at exactly the right time to find this book. I laughed, I cried, I busted out laughing, and I fell in love (and ordered the rest of her books lol).

I was sucked in from the very beginning of the story and started caring about the characters from the first few pages. I love the view from a camera insights that Jennie is so fond of and it makes me want to pull my camera back out to start snapping pictures again.

Lizard was the perfect underdog in the underdog role with her copious vocabulary delighted and enthused me (I will admit to start a texting word circle with my friends and we are getting the witchlets involved too). While it took me longer to warm up to Elsie, I don’t like such wound up tightwads, but it is indeed a treat to watch her shatter that shell.

I’m eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this delightful story.

Recommended to:Everyone who enjoys witchcraft & chick lit
